Stephanie takes Baron Corbin to the woodshed. Those segments are really annoying to me. Renee Young is very shiny tonight.

Roman calling out Brock is bad ass. Lesnar doesn’t come out when called, he waits until someone is beaten down and vulnerable. Chicken shit? Probably. But he almost always is the one standing at the end, so maybe he has the right idea. I’m smelling a triple threat match for the title. Or maybe a number one contender match between Strowman and Lesnar first. Corbin is a bitch as GM and is so easy to hate.
In my posts I often say of current low- and mid-card talent that they strike me as a future champion. So I’ve decided to list my top five men and top five women, and why I think they’ll succeed in WWE. I won’t use anyone who has already been a champion, so that leaves out Andrade “Cien” Almas and Drew McIntyre, who have both been NXT Champions, though I think both of them will be WWE/Universal Champions someday. This is exclusively wrestlers who have never held any title in WWE/NXT who I think will be a WWE/Universal/Women’s Champion at some point.
Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre enter with all of the heels the dominated The Shield at the end of Raw last week, including… Drew Gulak?! I really like Strowman’s line that Roman has his hounds of justice, while Strowman has his DOGS OF WAR! It’s funny to see Strowman as the mouthpiece for this group. The Shield hit back HARD with axe handles after last weeks demolition, taking out everyone except for the core trio of heels. Excellent.
I’ve been interested to see how the crowd is going to react to Braun and his new alliance. Some cheers but mostly boos. It feels weird because… didn’t Roman get backup and leave Strowman laying first? That seemed like the heel turn. But no, because they’re The Shield, they’re faces no matter what? This seems like a really convoluted storyline, at least in the early stages.
Strowman is cashing in at Hell in a Cell. That is bitchin’. Roman seems like a total tweener tonight, I was hoping they would go definitively in one direction, but we’ll see where it goes. It would seem we’re gonna see Roman and Braun team up against Ziggler and McIntyre tonight. Is Ziggler fucking crazy?? They’re challenging Roman and Braun. I guess to be the man, you gotta beat the man, but shit, this feels like suicide.

Welcome to Gorilla Fighters, a new feature where I profile some of the lesser-known entities of WWE and NXT. Not so much lesser-known as in terribly obscure or superstars who barely wrestle, but people that though we see them on tv and have become a little familiar with them, we really don’t know that much about. We pretty much know the life stories of guys like John Cena, Randy Orton, Kane, Undertaker, Triple H… they’ve been around for decades and have been profiled and had their stories told to us by JR, King, JBL, Michael Cole, and countless backstage interviewers. In this feature, I’ll try to research the same information about wrestlers that I find highly interesting and want to know more about, and I’ll definitely take suggestions on who to feature in these posts. I’ll also discuss each wrestler’s potential, where they are now, and where I hope they’ll end up. Since this is all about WWE, we might as well start with what WWE stands for: Walk With Elias.
