I know, I am WAY late with these this week. But I’m hopefully gonna bang out Mixed Match Challenge, 205 Live, NXT, and Mae Young Classic today.
COUNTRY DOMINANCE (MICKIE JAMES & BOBBY LASHLEY) W/LIO RUSH VS. MAHALICIA (JINDER MAHAL & ALICIA FOX) W/SUNIL SINGH
Huge hometown support for Bobby Lashley. I’m not sure how much Lio Rush adds as a hype man/manager, he needs to get involved more, and I think he would work better as a heel. If he’s not going to wrestle (which would be a big mistake), I think of him as a guy like Slick, the manager of the Twin Towers.
Anyway, to the match. Fun pushup contest that Lashley easily won with Mickie James lounging on his back. I have become extremely impressed with Alicia Fox both for her charisma/character work and in-ring ability. Nobody can deny her talent. Jinder hilariously oversold that slap from Mickie. Vince must have a huge hard on looking at Jinder and Lashley in the ring, knowing that he loves those body types.
Funny that I bring up Lio Rush getting involved and he ends up kicking Sunil Singh’s head off. Big stalling suplex by Lashley gets Country Dominance the win. This tournament is so much fun and you can see how much the talent loves it.

THE FABULOUS TRUTH (CARMELLA & R-TRUTH) VS. AWE-SKA (THE MIZ & ASUKA)
Miz has Asuka looking as ridiculous as he does. I love Truth’s Chris Jericho-like ability to get things over. Asuka joins the dance break! Miz throws a hissy fit then does his versoin of the moonwalk before getting his face kicked it. Fun fact: I can moonwalk. I really want to see Asuka turn on Miz and choke his ass out.
I was at Extreme Rules a couple year ago and Truth came out to get something out of his car, unfortunately for the wrestlers their parking lot was across the street from the main entrance. He didn’t actually go to his car until he made sure he took pictures with every single fan who wanted one. I respect the hell out of him.
Miz is such a piece of shit heel, an absolute trash human being, and he proudly flaunts it. He definitely gets how to be an all-time great heel. He takes a kick in the face from Carmella, but Asuka locks in the Asuka Lock for the win. Great match, a ton of fun.
