My predictions along with the other writers’ will be going up on ringthedamnbell.WordPress.com this weekend, but here’s an early look at mine:
Shorty G vs. Sheamus – SHEAMUS
This one is a no-brainer. Shorty G has zero momentum and is in a tailspin right now, while Sheamus is the returning heel looking to re-build credibility and at least get himself into the mid-card title picture.
Adam Cole wants to make people fear NXT, and says Ricochet has his property. EC3 interrupts. It looks like we’re gonna get an EC3-Adam Cole match!
On a boring Sunday, let’s check out the live event action from Saturday.
Nikki Cross has become obsessed with “playing games” with Bianca Belair. This is extremely creepy.
Kyle O’Reilly is afraid of War Raiders. His mommy probably told him a scary story about Vikings when she tucked him in last night. This is the kind of stuff Undisputed Era should be doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they attack Regal here.
Evans says she’s a lady but acts like a bitch. A mean, tough-as-nails bitch. Every time she gets hit, she just gets pissed and hits back twice as hard. When she tags out, she slowly climbs up over the top rope and back down onto the apron. It looked so uppity and bitchy, small things like that can have such a big effect on getting a character over. Things like that are why I selected her as one of my future champions.
In my posts I often say of current low- and mid-card talent that they strike me as a future champion. So I’ve decided to list my top five men and top five women, and why I think they’ll succeed in WWE. I won’t use anyone who has already been a champion, so that leaves out Andrade “Cien” Almas and Drew McIntyre, who have both been NXT Champions, though I think both of them will be WWE/Universal Champions someday. This is exclusively wrestlers who have never held any title in WWE/NXT who I think will be a WWE/Universal/Women’s Champion at some point.
We see Tommaso Ciampa walking through the parking lot, meaning some shit is about to go down tonight.
