So I didn’t do any reviews on NXT, NXT UK, or 205 Live this week because I watched the shows on an almost-four-hour drive home from work on Thursday night. Not a good time for reviews, and I had a long-ass work week. So they were all really good. There you go.
Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan
Let’s just hope Brock Lensar doesn’t kill or paralyze Bryan Danielson. I love that this match is happening. I think AJ Styles costs DB the match.
Lesnar wins.
* Men’s 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown
Strowman is the sole survivor, and defeats last-remaining Team SmackDown member Shane McMahon to win it for Team Raw. Hopefully that follows some awesome action.
Team Raw wins.
* Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair
As most wrestling media has discussed, this is likely a blessing in disguise for the Lynch-Rousey rivalry, and it’s now supposedly penciled in to headline WrestleMania. But don’t for one second think that this is just a replacement match. This was the match people clamored for before Becky’s meteoric rise. It’s not the champion vs. champion or WrestleMania clash that people expected, but this should be a hell of a show. The winner is not in doubt.
Rousey wins.
* Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Another “dream match”. This is one hell of a card. Nakamura has seemed a bit lazy in the ring lately for my liking, but hopefully Rollins brings a great match out of him. Ambrose will almost surely make his presence known here, leading to…
Nakamura wins.
* Women’s 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown
I’m very interested in the TBA is for Team SmackDown. My guess is Nikki Cross. Tamina has looked just awful in the ring, and I hope that Nia doesn’t get timid over the Becky Lynch incident and looked bad as well. This one has the potential to be really good or absolutely terrible. I’ll settle for somewhere in the middle.
Team SmackDown wins.
* Authors of Pain vs. The Bar
The Bar can take tons of losses even as champs and still be strong. I was mad that they let Seth Rollins even have a chance against AOP. Let The Bar have their moments, but we know who needs to stand tall here.
Authors of Pain win.
* Buddy Murphy vs. Mustafa Ali
I do watch 205 Live ever week and have since the beginning, and I can tell you that this has the potential to steal the show. Both guys are incredibly gifted athletes and have put on masterpieces in the past. I don’t know if Murphy will go over clean or if Tony Nese will interfere on his behalf.
Murphy retains.
* 10-on-10 Tag Team Survivor Series Elimination: Raw Tag Teams vs. SmackDown Tag Teams
Have The Colons even been on TV this year? Do they really not have enough tag teams to fill this out that they needed to use them, plus bring Lucha House Party from 205 Live? Don’t get me wrong, Lucha House Party is awesome, but how are there not five viable tag teams on the shows regularly that can fill out this match? STOP KILLING TAG TEAM WRESTING, VINCE! Thankfully NXT is keeping it alive. I think this will suck.
Team SmackDown wins.
