IN-RING PROMO: TRIPLE H & SHAWN MICHAELS
One of the best promos I can remember from two of the best in the business. This gave me chills.

Big E will sit this one out, a curious decision, but they must feel like Sheamus and Cesaro can both neutralize his power, so they want to double down on a speed advantage. Unfortunately for them, power is winning out in the early going. Impressive spot when Sheamus launched Woods in the air and Cesaro hit him with an uppercut.
Ambrose teases that he’s done with The Shield. He’s so good on the mic. Sure, he emphasizes that The Shield is a brotherhood, but he also runs down all the reasons why he would leave and why he could go out on his, continuing to leave some doubt. I love the options that Corbin offers Ambrose. It’s such a great way to get in his head. Ambrose doesn’t break, and ends up facing Strowman.
I really love that R-Truth is becoming relevant, no matter how short-lived this may be. He’s still over as hell. Carmella is so talented that she’s gone from the most hated heel on SmackDown to a cheered face in less than a month. So this is now TruthTV? Rock on. I am greatly entertained by the new format, especially the seven-second dance break. It does not take much to make me happy.
Stephanie takes Baron Corbin to the woodshed. Those segments are really annoying to me. Renee Young is very shiny tonight.
Miz announces a number one contender match against Daniel Bryan at Super Showdown. Maryse announces to thunderous applause that this is her last night on SmackDown Live. Daniel Bryan comes out to beat the balls off of Miz and knocks him into Maryse. Miz barely touched her and she needs a stretcher. You can see her smiling and Miz is about to attack DB as soon as he gets up and we’ll see she’s faking. It’s exactly what happens, and this time she gets tagged good. Excellent.
Roman calling out Brock is bad ass. Lesnar doesn’t come out when called, he waits until someone is beaten down and vulnerable. Chicken shit? Probably. But he almost always is the one standing at the end, so maybe he has the right idea. I’m smelling a triple threat match for the title. Or maybe a number one contender match between Strowman and Lesnar first. Corbin is a bitch as GM and is so easy to hate.
I hope you guys enjoy the new look of the site. Now let’s strap in for some awesome brutality.
Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre enter with all of the heels the dominated The Shield at the end of Raw last week, including… Drew Gulak?! I really like Strowman’s line that Roman has his hounds of justice, while Strowman has his DOGS OF WAR! It’s funny to see Strowman as the mouthpiece for this group. The Shield hit back HARD with axe handles after last weeks demolition, taking out everyone except for the core trio of heels. Excellent.
I’ve been interested to see how the crowd is going to react to Braun and his new alliance. Some cheers but mostly boos. It feels weird because… didn’t Roman get backup and leave Strowman laying first? That seemed like the heel turn. But no, because they’re The Shield, they’re faces no matter what? This seems like a really convoluted storyline, at least in the early stages.
