Mae Young Classic Semifinals Review, 10/24

TONI STORM VS. MEIKO SATOMURA

Though Storm has been one of my favorite new wrestlers, I’ve been unimpressed by her performance in this tournament so far. This match starts out boringly as well until Storm lands a vicious kick to Satomura’s chest. I’d like to see her really get rolling, and same with Satomura, because this match has the potential to be amazing.

ROMAN REIGNS

Reigns looks distraught. I… have no words. Man, this is as real as real gets. I really don’t know what to say. Love or hate the character, they loved the man tonight. Such a real moment between him and the crowd, and him and his Shield brothers. There’s a lot of moments that make me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan, but this one with the way the crowd reacted, this made me proud to be one. We love you Joe.

SmackDown 1000 Review, 10/16

TRUTH TV

Hell yeah! Truth TV! Dance break! And let’s pour some cold water on that boner with Stephanie McMahon and her horrendous entrance music… and what the balls is that dancing she’s doing? Odin almighty… just knock it off. But OH! HERE COMES THE MONEY! I just really don’t want this to turn into a two-hander for the McMahons. Well here comes Vince, and that’s exactly what this is. At least this was not a total McMahon family jerk off, it was a McMahon family dance break! I’m all for that. Great job.

D-Generation X Turns 21 Today

I could have put this in the birthdays, but it deserves to stand alone. On the October 13, 1997 episode of Monday Night Raw, Shawn Michaels gave his group an official name, mocking Bret Hart’s insult after he said Michaels was “nothing more than a degenerate.” It’s appropriate timing, as D-X (maybe) wrestling at Crown Jewel (or not). Graphic video of the birth after the jump:

Breaking News: Trish Stratus, Triple H, & HBK to Appear on Raw Tonight

From wwe.com:

With her match against Alexa Bliss at the first-ever all-Women’s pay-per-view WWE Evolution just three weeks away, Trish Stratus will return to Raw tonight!

What will the WWE Hall of Famer have to say to Five Feet of Fury? And will The Goddess of WWE feet the sting of Stratusfaction ahead of their historic showdown?

Also:

One last time. At WWE Super Show-Down, Triple H conquered The Undertaker in their No Disqualification Match that shattered a table, bent steel and pushed both longtime rivals to their limits.

With both Shawn Michaels and Kane entering the battle and taking full advantage of the lenient stipulation, the WWE Universe bore witness as four of the most iconic Superstars of all time made history Down Under in an incredible main event. However, as Triple H showed his respect for his defeated opponent after the bell, both The Deadman and The Big Red Machine lashed out at The Game and HBK in a horrific display.

Tonight on Raw, The Game and HBK will react to the heinous assault at the hands of The Brothers of Destruction.

OPENING SEGMENT: ROMAN REIGNS

Roman calling out Brock is bad ass. Lesnar doesn’t come out when called, he waits until someone is beaten down and vulnerable. Chicken shit? Probably. But he almost always is the one standing at the end, so maybe he has the right idea. I’m smelling a triple threat match for the title. Or maybe a number one contender match between Strowman and Lesnar first. Corbin is a bitch as GM and is so easy to hate.
