WWE SMACKDOWN REVIEW 11/13

First off I have to say that watching the replay of what happened last night makes me happy. Last nights invasion was absolutely amazing. Holy Shit Becky has a fractured face and it was Nia’s punch to the face that did it. She definitely is the irresistible force, but I am sure she feels bad. I am very disappointed that she can’t participate in Sunday’s Survivor Series. Let’s see who replaces her to take on Ronda.

Here comes AJ Styles, going to talk about his match against Brock Lesnar. Blah Blah Blah, AJ bores me. Look whose in the audience, it’s Paul Heyman! Damn right give him the mic, let him talking about Brock. These two talking about the past, and what they are going to do on Sunday. Can’t believe he’s been champion for that long, I really wish Daniel Bryan “DB” would’ve beaten AJ before Crown Jewel.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Daniel Bryan here he comes. He looks ready to fight, and yes exactly why is Paul Heyman talking about Daniel Bryan. He tells AJ to keep his name out of his mouth, or he’s going to punch him in the face. It wasn’t AJ that brought up, DB it was Heyman. There ya go AJ can’t keep his name out of his mouth, and a punch to the face. I am with the crowd, “Let them fight”. I am not sure is DB trying to be Heel?

So much screaming, DB feels disrespected. Oh SNAP, WWE title on the line tonight. I can not wait for this. I could see DB winning and going against Brock.

Almas vs Jeff Hardy

My money is on Jeff, just because he will always be amazing to me. However Almas is a talented wrestler. I love his tranquilo move he does on the ropes. As soon as the bell rings Almas is on Jeff like white on rice. Tranquilo, like clock work. You can see the age in Jeff. He’s not as fast as he used to be, but he still flys high. This match is a little boring to me, both of these guys can put on a good match. The move Almas did off the turnbuckle made my face hurt. Hits the twist of fate, swanton bomb. 1…2….3…. here is your winner Jeff Hardy. Called it, love when I am right.

Miz makes me sick, but I love Paige. Miz I charge of team blue. Yay for the add of Jeff Hardy. He wants to kick Rey off the team, but I like how Paige saves Rey. Miz has to beat Rey in order for him to get kicked off the team. Match is NEXT!!!!

Okay Shinskae Nakumora cuts a promo, I can barley understand him.. he needs to take out his Invisalign. All I know is he’s going to break Seth Rollin’s face on Sunday.

Rey Mysterio Vs The Miz

These two can fight. It’s a little slow paced but all together a good fight. A lot of back and forth. A few pin attempts by the Miz can’t get more than a 2 count. What just happened. I looked away and Rey won. What the heck? Randy Orton comes out of know where to attempt the RKO on Rey, he misses and gets The Miz instead.

WOAH Becky’s Face is tore up and Ronda didn’t even do that to her! Paige is calling out all the ladies from the back. I love seeing all these women making their way to the ring. Naomi is my inner child, and hope Becky chooses her. Becky. Ales her way out to the ring to choose her replacement for Sunday. I was really looking forward to This match. I think she’s going to chose Charlotte, and boom I was right. She chose Charlotte, gives her a big hug whispers something in her ear. Does this mean they are friends again?

New Day Vs The Bar

I really don’t understand why the Big Show is with the bar. He’s so oddly shaped since he got buff. He needs to do more leg days, because it looks like they can’t even hold him up. Looks like he’s walking on stilts, maybe he should stop wrestling before he hurts himself or someone. The New Day never disappoints. I don’t think there’s ever been a match with them in it that I didn’t enjoy. Big show stayed out of the ring most of the match hits Kofi with the KO punch while Kofi jumps off the top rope. He can’t even stand up after pinning him. Big Show RETIRE Already!

The Promo The Usos and the team blue tag teams was amazing. Welcome to the SMACKDOWN PENITENTIARY

Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles {WWE CHAMPIONSHIP}

I really hope DB wins but let what happens. This match is going to be amazing because both of these guys are just so talented. So much back and forth. You can see the aggression between these two. Damn DB went flying over the top rope and then gets his with AJ flying over. These guys work so well together they make this match so good. Daniel is beating AJ down, working on the left arm ever since AJ hit the ring post. Yes lock!!! Ugh he got the rope…. Calf Crusher wow what a turn around, arm bar, turned into the yes lock. God this match is intense, Ref got hit. WHAT! DANIEL BRYAN with a LOW BLOW!! The running knee 123!!!!!!!!!! DANIEL BRYAN IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION. Not the way I wanted him to win, but seriously looking forward to Sunday night. Wow attacking AJ while he’s down, just stomping on his face like that.. Heel turn?

TRISH STRATUS & LITA VS. ALICIA FOX & MICKIE JAMES w/Alexa Bliss

Leah is understandable slower with her offense, but she still looks good. Trish looks really good, and I think that’s also a testament to Alicia Fox’s athleticism and ability to make others look good. That’s certainly not to take anything away from Trish. Trish and Mickie punching each other in the face is fun. Did Mickie punch Trish in the poon when she was holding her upside down on the ropes?

SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: THE BAR VS. THE NEW DAY (c)

Big E will sit this one out, a curious decision, but they must feel like Sheamus and Cesaro can both neutralize his power, so they want to double down on a speed advantage. Unfortunately for them, power is winning out in the early going. Impressive spot when Sheamus launched Woods in the air and Cesaro hit him with an uppercut.

WWE Super Show-Down Predictions

CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: BUDDY MURPHY VS. CEDRIC ALEXADER (c)

Alexander has been undefeated for over a year. He’s been running the cruiserweight division, and deservedly so, he’s terrific. You know what else would be terrific? Giving Buddy Murphy a championship win in his hometown. I love Cedric, and Murphy is a heel, but that would be a tremendous way to start the show. I think he’d have a great run as champion, but even if you only have him win it just to do it in front of the home crowd, you could always have Alexander win it back in Saudi Arabia

OPENING SEGMENT: PAIGE

Joe committed the most dastardly crime in WWE history? Do I need to make a list? Pillman’s Got a Gun? Katie Vick? MUHAMMAD FUCKING HASSAN?? I get it, gotta sell it. AJ’s promo was weird. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I didn’t want to like it at first, but it got better as it continued.

MIZTV WITH… R-TRUTH AND A BRUNETTE CARMELLA

I really love that R-Truth is becoming relevant, no matter how short-lived this may be. He’s still over as hell. Carmella is so talented that she’s gone from the most hated heel on SmackDown to a cheered face in less than a month. So this is now TruthTV? Rock on. I am greatly entertained by the new format, especially the seven-second dance break. It does not take much to make me happy.

MIZTV

Miz announces a number one contender match against Daniel Bryan at Super Showdown. Maryse announces to thunderous applause that this is her last night on SmackDown Live. Daniel Bryan comes out to beat the balls off of Miz and knocks him into Maryse. Miz barely touched her and she needs a stretcher. You can see her smiling and Miz is about to attack DB as soon as he gets up and we’ll see she’s faking. It’s exactly what happens, and this time she gets tagged good. Excellent.

Who is a future champion?

In my posts I often say of current low- and mid-card talent that they strike me as a future champion. So I’ve decided to list my top five men and top five women, and why I think they’ll succeed in WWE. I won’t use anyone who has already been a champion, so that leaves out Andrade “Cien” Almas and Drew McIntyre, who have both been NXT Champions, though I think both of them will be WWE/Universal Champions someday. This is exclusively wrestlers who have never held any title in WWE/NXT who I think will be a WWE/Universal/Women’s Champion at some point.
