CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: BUDDY MURPHY VS. CEDRIC ALEXADER (c)

Alexander has been undefeated for over a year. He’s been running the cruiserweight division, and deservedly so, he’s terrific. You know what else would be terrific? Giving Buddy Murphy a championship win in his hometown. I love Cedric, and Murphy is a heel, but that would be a tremendous way to start the show. I think he’d have a great run as champion, but even if you only have him win it just to do it in front of the home crowd, you could always have Alexander win it back in Saudi Arabia

PREDICTION: Winner, and NEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Buddy Murphy

 

ASUKA & NAOMI VS. THE ICONICS

Same logic here, give the Aussies the win. I’m sure they’ll cheat to do and the crowd will still love it. One thing is for sure: they’ll misuse Asuka.

SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: THE BAR VS. THE NEW DAY

It should be a good match, and The Bar are former champions who are a credible threat to The New Day. That being said, no chance.

PREDICTION: Still SmackDown Tag Team Champions, The New Day

 

FUTURE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP OPPORTUNITY MATCH: DANIEL BRYAN VS. THE MIZ

The Miz picked up the dirty win at SummerSlam and got the best of DB on SmackDown Live this week. He always seems to come out on top in the end because of his willingness to cheat and do ANYTHING it takes and gladly admitting it because it means a win. I think we’ll see Daniel Bryan struggle with the decision to stoop to that level during this match. Will he or won’t he?

PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan

 

JOHN CENA & BOBBY LASHLEY VS. KEVIN OWENS & ELIAS

Random pairings and a random throw-in match to get Cena on the card without inserting him into a major storyline. Gee, I wonder how this one will turn out.

PREDICTION: John Cena & Bobby Lashley

 

SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: CHARLOTTE FLAIR VS. BECKY LYNCH (c)

We can be fairly sure they won’t take the title off of Becky yet. They may at Evolution, but not here. I just want a great match.

PREDICTION: Still SmackDown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch

 

RONDA ROUSEY & THE BELLA TWINS VS. THE RIOTT SQUAD

If there’s any justice, Ronda will get 90% of the work [of course she won’t] and Brie will get potatoed and quit forever. Like Cena, the world-renown star Ronda Rousey has no chance of losing. After the match it’s likely we see a turn from Nikki to set up her vs. Rousey at Evolution, and excuse me while I vomit.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP NO DQ MATCH: SAMOA JOE VS. AJ STYLES (c)

This is a tough one to call. Joe has been in AJ’s head, and for good reason. He’s done nothing but sneak attack AJ and fuck with his family, including showing up and his house. Joe certainly has the psychological edge. We’ve seen the matches these two have put on and they’ve been terrific. Keep it up.

PREDICTION: Still WWE Champion, AJ Styles

 

THE SHIELD VS. BRAUN STROWMAN, DOLPH ZIGGLER, & DREW McINTYRE

I want chaos to reign in the one, and Reigns to be full blown chaos. Great band BTW, Full Blown Chaos is awesome. I want Braun to destroy shit, and Seth and Dean to fly around like nuts. Many people have classified this show as a glorified house show, and the bigger stars almost always go over at house shows.

PREDICTION: The Shield

 

LAST TIME EVER: TRIPLE H w/SHAWN MICHAELS VS. THE UNDERTAKER w/KANE

The toughest match to call. We’ve all heard the rumor that this is setting up a tag match with all four of these guys at Crown Jewel, so this match may not mean as much as they’re making it seem. Still, it’s going to be awesome to see this. I’m all for the nostalgia crap that some people shun. Even if they can’t go at the pace they used to, Trips and Taker are two of the best ring psychologists of all time. They’ll make it great.
