KICKOFF SHOW

WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: CEDRIC ALEXANDER VS. BUDDY MURPHY (c)

Fun action early with both guys showing the crowd what they’re in for with dueling displays of athleticism. An appreciative “205” chant breaks out. Tremendously quick pace and great chain wrestling by both guys. If you’re not watching this show, START! You can watch ANY TIME on demand! And it’s only an hour! Much less demanding than Raw or SmackDown, and lately it’s been much better TV.

WWE SMACKDOWN REVIEW 11/13

First off I have to say that watching the replay of what happened last night makes me happy. Last nights invasion was absolutely amazing. Holy Shit Becky has a fractured face and it was Nia’s punch to the face that did it. She definitely is the irresistible force, but I am sure she feels bad. I am very disappointed that she can’t participate in Sunday’s Survivor Series. Let’s see who replaces her to take on Ronda.

Here comes AJ Styles, going to talk about his match against Brock Lesnar. Blah Blah Blah, AJ bores me. Look whose in the audience, it’s Paul Heyman! Damn right give him the mic, let him talking about Brock. These two talking about the past, and what they are going to do on Sunday. Can’t believe he’s been champion for that long, I really wish Daniel Bryan “DB” would’ve beaten AJ before Crown Jewel.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Daniel Bryan here he comes. He looks ready to fight, and yes exactly why is Paul Heyman talking about Daniel Bryan. He tells AJ to keep his name out of his mouth, or he’s going to punch him in the face. It wasn’t AJ that brought up, DB it was Heyman. There ya go AJ can’t keep his name out of his mouth, and a punch to the face. I am with the crowd, “Let them fight”. I am not sure is DB trying to be Heel?

So much screaming, DB feels disrespected. Oh SNAP, WWE title on the line tonight. I can not wait for this. I could see DB winning and going against Brock.

Almas vs Jeff Hardy

My money is on Jeff, just because he will always be amazing to me. However Almas is a talented wrestler. I love his tranquilo move he does on the ropes. As soon as the bell rings Almas is on Jeff like white on rice. Tranquilo, like clock work. You can see the age in Jeff. He’s not as fast as he used to be, but he still flys high. This match is a little boring to me, both of these guys can put on a good match. The move Almas did off the turnbuckle made my face hurt. Hits the twist of fate, swanton bomb. 1…2….3…. here is your winner Jeff Hardy. Called it, love when I am right.

Miz makes me sick, but I love Paige. Miz I charge of team blue. Yay for the add of Jeff Hardy. He wants to kick Rey off the team, but I like how Paige saves Rey. Miz has to beat Rey in order for him to get kicked off the team. Match is NEXT!!!!

Okay Shinskae Nakumora cuts a promo, I can barley understand him.. he needs to take out his Invisalign. All I know is he’s going to break Seth Rollin’s face on Sunday.

Rey Mysterio Vs The Miz

These two can fight. It’s a little slow paced but all together a good fight. A lot of back and forth. A few pin attempts by the Miz can’t get more than a 2 count. What just happened. I looked away and Rey won. What the heck? Randy Orton comes out of know where to attempt the RKO on Rey, he misses and gets The Miz instead.

WOAH Becky’s Face is tore up and Ronda didn’t even do that to her! Paige is calling out all the ladies from the back. I love seeing all these women making their way to the ring. Naomi is my inner child, and hope Becky chooses her. Becky. Ales her way out to the ring to choose her replacement for Sunday. I was really looking forward to This match. I think she’s going to chose Charlotte, and boom I was right. She chose Charlotte, gives her a big hug whispers something in her ear. Does this mean they are friends again?

New Day Vs The Bar

I really don’t understand why the Big Show is with the bar. He’s so oddly shaped since he got buff. He needs to do more leg days, because it looks like they can’t even hold him up. Looks like he’s walking on stilts, maybe he should stop wrestling before he hurts himself or someone. The New Day never disappoints. I don’t think there’s ever been a match with them in it that I didn’t enjoy. Big show stayed out of the ring most of the match hits Kofi with the KO punch while Kofi jumps off the top rope. He can’t even stand up after pinning him. Big Show RETIRE Already!

The Promo The Usos and the team blue tag teams was amazing. Welcome to the SMACKDOWN PENITENTIARY

Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles {WWE CHAMPIONSHIP}

I really hope DB wins but let what happens. This match is going to be amazing because both of these guys are just so talented. So much back and forth. You can see the aggression between these two. Damn DB went flying over the top rope and then gets his with AJ flying over. These guys work so well together they make this match so good. Daniel is beating AJ down, working on the left arm ever since AJ hit the ring post. Yes lock!!! Ugh he got the rope…. Calf Crusher wow what a turn around, arm bar, turned into the yes lock. God this match is intense, Ref got hit. WHAT! DANIEL BRYAN with a LOW BLOW!! The running knee 123!!!!!!!!!! DANIEL BRYAN IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION. Not the way I wanted him to win, but seriously looking forward to Sunday night. Wow attacking AJ while he’s down, just stomping on his face like that.. Heel turn?

SmackDown Live Review, 11/6

PAIGE & SHANE McMAHON

Britain tries and fails miserably to start a CM Punk chant. Tools. So… is Shane reversing what would have been a good heel turn? I hope not. That’s what it would seem like as he chooses Daniel Bryan as the SmackDown Live men’s Survivor Series team captain. He names Miz co-captain, so… I don’t fucking know. I’m not gonna rate this segment because I still don’t know what to make of it.

Miz and Bryan agree to Shane as the next person on their team, and Miz lets DB have the next pick.

THE NEW DAY VS. THE USOS

So there’s going to be a tag team Survivor Series elimination match? Did that happen last year? I don’t remember. It seems like overkill. If there’s any justice, SAnitY will jump in and destroy everybody. I was highly entertained by Kofi’s seizure distraction while Big E came out of nowhere with a clothesline. Big E is DOMINATING this match, until Jimmy Uso throws him into the timekeeper’s area.

Kofi does a giant trust fall until both Usos from the top turnbuckle. I have no idea how Kofi doesn’t break his neck doing the SOS. He also landed way high, on Jey Uso’s face, on a top-rope cross-body splash. Big E back up gets back to trucking his competition with a spear on Jey through the ropes to the outside. He is a wrecking machine and is the best part of a really good match. Jimmy Uso hits a splash on Kofi to pick up the win for his team. The Usos give respect to New Day after the match and make them their first pick for Team SmackDown Live. New Day accepts.

Match Rating: Eight Gold Medals

Daniel Bryan makes Rey Mysterio his next pick. Miz says only if Mysterio impresses in his match against Almas tonight. I really enjoy how they will choose their final member: each picks a wrestler and they face each other, winner gets the last spot.

BECKY LYNCH

I can’t wait until Becky and Ronda get at each other. She says she’s gonna make Ronda her bitch, and calls out anyone. SAnitY?? Will it be NIKKI CROSS?? HELL YEAH! AND she’s back with SAnitY! This is fucking awesome.

Becky Lynch Promo Rating: Seven Becky Lynches

BECKY LYNCH VS. NIKKI CROSS

Nikki is giving a hell of a showing in her SmackDown Live debut. She’s batshit insane and it’s an awesome style. Nikki gets a two-count with a cross body from the top turnbuckle, and hits an inverted DDT to take control of the champ until Becky bounces her off the bottom rope then locks in the Dis-Arm-Her. Nikki taps out, but that was a good match

Match Rating: Six Gold Medals

Daniel Bryan makes Jeff Hardy his final pick, while Miz is going to pick Randy Orton. Nope, I predicted incorrectly, it’s Samoa Joe. I’m rarely wrong, but I’ll eat shit on this one.

SHINSUKE NAKAMURA

Shinsuke cuts a decent promo on Rollins. A little chilling even.

Promo Rating: Two Jake Roberts

REY MYSTERIO VS. ANDRADE “CIEN” ALMAS

No Vega for Almas tonight. Good fast early pace from two well-traveled luchadors. That pace slows after Almas FLOORS Mysterio with a back elbow. After Almas catches Rey’s hurrancanrana attempt on the outside, he swings him HARD into the barricade. Rey has always been one who takes a lot of punishment.

I think Mysterio caught Almas in the head with his knee. That didn’t look good. Two straight running double knees in the corner by Almas gets a two count on Mysterio, I can’t believe he kicked out. They botch a tilt-a-whirl back breaker as I don’t think Rey’s back ever hit Almas’ knee. Come on guys, fast doesn’t mean accurate. Get the moves right.

They make up for it with an awesome sequence in the outside including a hurracanrana into the ring apron and a diving DDT by Mysterio. He hits the 619 and Drops the Dimeo n Almas for the win, likely securing his spot on the SmackDown Live men’s Survivor Series team. They lose a little bit from the sloppiness, but overall a great m—RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!

AJ STYLES

AJ gives a spoiler: he beats Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series

Promo Rating: Seven Stone Colds

Paige announces the SmackDown Live women’s Survivor Series team: Carmella, Naomi, Sonya Deville, Asuka, and Charlot… Mandy Rose? Mandy runs her mouth and gets smacked by Naomi. That was weird, and where was Charlotte?

JEFF HARDY VS. SAMOA JOE

I was mostly listening to Miz and DB argue, and then Samoa Joe makes Hardy tap out to the Coquina Clutch. Sorry, but I don’t know if this match was any good, so I’ll leave it as an undetermined rating.

Daniel Bryan attacks Joe and puts him in the Yes! Lock as Miz pulls him off, then DB attacks Miz! DB throws Shane! Bryan goes nuts! Yes! Yes! Yes! That was a cool finish.

Overall Show Rating: Seven Gold Medals

SmackDown Live Review, 10/30

IN-RING SEGMENT: AJ STYLES & DANIEL BRYAN

Excellent and passionate promo from Daniel Bryan, except he lied about taking it from Styles at Crown Jewel. AJ says his PelĂ© kick to DB was on purpose. Bryan said “I am 100% honest”, but he just lied about gong to Crown Jewel. AJ SAYS LET’S DO IT NOW! Shane McMahon IS GONNA LET IT HAPPEN I THINK! Well THAT’S a way to get out of that situation! FUCK YEAH!

TRUTH TV

Hell yeah! Truth TV! Dance break! And let’s pour some cold water on that boner with Stephanie McMahon and her horrendous entrance music… and what the balls is that dancing she’s doing? Odin almighty… just knock it off. But OH! HERE COMES THE MONEY! I just really don’t want this to turn into a two-hander for the McMahons. Well here comes Vince, and that’s exactly what this is. At least this was not a total McMahon family jerk off, it was a McMahon family dance break! I’m all for that. Great job.

SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: THE BAR VS. THE NEW DAY (c)

Big E will sit this one out, a curious decision, but they must feel like Sheamus and Cesaro can both neutralize his power, so they want to double down on a speed advantage. Unfortunately for them, power is winning out in the early going. Impressive spot when Sheamus launched Woods in the air and Cesaro hit him with an uppercut.

WWE Super Show-Down Predictions

CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: BUDDY MURPHY VS. CEDRIC ALEXADER (c)

Alexander has been undefeated for over a year. He’s been running the cruiserweight division, and deservedly so, he’s terrific. You know what else would be terrific? Giving Buddy Murphy a championship win in his hometown. I love Cedric, and Murphy is a heel, but that would be a tremendous way to start the show. I think he’d have a great run as champion, but even if you only have him win it just to do it in front of the home crowd, you could always have Alexander win it back in Saudi Arabia

OPENING SEGMENT: PAIGE

Joe committed the most dastardly crime in WWE history? Do I need to make a list? Pillman’s Got a Gun? Katie Vick? MUHAMMAD FUCKING HASSAN?? I get it, gotta sell it. AJ’s promo was weird. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I didn’t want to like it at first, but it got better as it continued.
