My predictions along with the other writers’ will be going up on ringthedamnbell.WordPress.com this weekend, but here’s an early look at mine:
Shorty G vs. Sheamus – SHEAMUS
This one is a no-brainer. Shorty G has zero momentum and is in a tailspin right now, while Sheamus is the returning heel looking to re-build credibility and at least get himself into the mid-card title picture.
On the kickoff show, the Raw women’s team is already fighting themselves when Ruby Riott brings up Anvil’s sunglasses. Why did SmackDown pick Mandy Rose and not Nikki Cross?? Lame.
So we’re going to find out who captains the Raw tag team Survivor Series team. Why does Lucha House Party get three guys? I think Strowman will win yet another tag team battle royal. Strowman cleans house. That battel royal did not last long. Oh shit, someone gave Strowman a black eye. Stephanie McMahon comes out, probably to get these hands. Stephanie gets Braun on Raw’s Survivor Series team, and Braun gets Baron Corbin, and possibly another Universal Championship match.
B’N’B are really fun together. If only they weren’t booked like shit separately. Renee talks about the “lack of disrespect from Bobby Lashley to Finn Bálor”. Ok. Bayley runs straight into a super kick from Mickie James that looked like it knocked a few teeth loose. Lio Rush rush screaming from Bálor, and ends up getting a Belly to Bayley. Mickie James wins with a DDT. Nothing too special about this one.
Match Rating: Three Gold Medals
Naomi has horns. The was one of the worst rap battles in a long history of bad WWE rap battles. The match was just as bad.

Security surrounds the ring as Baron Corbin enters. I’m sure the security is to protect Corbin from Braun Strowman. Corbin of course names himself captain of the Raw men’s Survivor Series team, but can’t compete. Makes no sense. He names Ziggler, McIntyre, and Strowman as the first three members. He taught Braun to respect authority at Crown Jewel. And Braun will teach Corbin how to eat through a straw.
It’s still hard to watch Joe Anoai’s announcement from last week. It puts a lump in my throat every time I see it.
Leah is understandable slower with her offense, but she still looks good. Trish looks really good, and I think that’s also a testament to Alicia Fox’s athleticism and ability to make others look good. That’s certainly not to take anything away from Trish. Trish and Mickie punching each other in the face is fun. Did Mickie punch Trish in the poon when she was holding her upside down on the ropes?
Krysia and I make our Evolution picks. Most of these are the same picks I made at Ring the Damn Bell, but a little has changed. Krysia will be there in person, so follow our Twitter and Instagram for live updates!
Balor & Roode wear each other’s jackets and do each other’s mannerisms. Slow and boring action from Bayley and Natalya. She was about to go for a suicide dive before Bobby Roode tagged himself in saying, “You don’t dive! I’m saving you!”
Reigns looks distraught. I… have no words. Man, this is as real as real gets. I really don’t know what to say. Love or hate the character, they loved the man tonight. Such a real moment between him and the crowd, and him and his Shield brothers. There’s a lot of moments that make me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan, but this one with the way the crowd reacted, this made me proud to be one. We love you Joe.
