It’s a 2-2 tie today. Let’s hope it stays that way and I don’t kill someone like I did Dirty Dick Slater yesterday by requesting no wrestlers die after I publish the post.

We now have a better timeline for Kevin Owens’ return from double knee surgery, as Dave Meltzer is reporting that he should be back around February or March. That could put him in line for a WrestleMania return, which would be awesome.

The commentators talk about how much of an underdog Lane is, and how embarrassed Satomura would be if she lost. I agree. I see a ton of potential in Lane, but she’s not there yet. She should be no match for the veteran that put on the match of the tournament with Mercedes Martinez in the second round. I would be surprised, and frankly, unhappy if Lane wins this match. I’ve been waiting for this. I think Undisputed Era is going to get disqualified somehow and keep the titles. I’m a huge War Raiders fan, so I’m hoping I’m wrong and we have new champions. However, I am rarely, rarely, RARELY wrong. About anything. Ever.
I can’t see Tozawa winning unless The Brian Kendrick comes out and distracts Gulak. Tozawa is obviously incredibly talented, but there’s so much push behind Gulak right now that it’s highly unlikely he’d take a clean loss. Tozawa has a nice position on the card but he’s not in the main event picture like Gulak is at the moment. Gulak has also been on an absolute tear, totally locked in.
Huge size advantage for Coffey, but Andrews is ridiculously fast and evasive. Andrews is out-muscled in an ill-advised early lock up, but once he starts to fly he gets some good shots in. Coffey is a big, strong dude, and can recover a lot more quickly, so it’s going to be easier for him to recover from Andrews’ attacks than it will be for Andrews if Coffey gets his power offense going.
